Excellent stage in the end and I'd figured it was going to be a sleeper when I first tuned in.

Tough conditions too. Last time I was down in Biot it was touching 40 degrees in the shade. Amazing to see it like that.

That corner where Kiserlovski went down and the road immediately following, which took out HH and TvG, is very narrow and the surface melts almost every year. Slippery stuff.

Let's hope for a big attacking day tomorrow while it pours down! :)

Yeah, wouldn't like to be in the Movistar hotel this evening.

and tomorrow Tondo is going to be a very lonely rider......
Movistar literally massacred themselves for nothing and I doubt they're enthusiastic to put the same effort...

it wasn't for Tondo, it was for Rojas, but he crashed 2km from the finish:

"Lastras, Chente, Iván Gutiérrez, Pasamontes and David López made an incredible effort for more than an hour and a half to keep alive options by their fastman JJ Rojas. However, two kilometers from the finish, their hopes were ruined when a rider touched the Spaniard's rear wheel, Rojas ending with his bones on the ground and seeing all Movistar Team chances to triumph going down too."

Either way I think that finish was too tough for Rojas. I'd say it was better for Lastras, ironically enough.
