9.80s - 9.93s, fastest qualification times ever? Very tight field; three/four of them look above the rest but tension of a final and only a tenth or so in it means a surprise medal definitely on the cards.
But apparently they were going "slow"

9.93 worst mark for the final

Everyone of these men can grab a medal or even fluke a win.

In all honesty I think they're going as fast here as in other races... 10,000m times are always a bit weird (tactics matter a lot) but were good; 100m women's was very good, but around 10.75s has been the winner basically every Olympics since 2008. The question for this race was whether they'd get to 9.75s, which I think they will do, so it is basically as fast as the other races (fast, not insane).

Worth adding that the top end of the 100m has been quite static since Bolt, around that 9.75-9.85 region, what's crazy about this race is how tight the top end is. Everyone in the final can conceivably run <9.85s.

At one point it's about as easy as an Olympic gold could get for Mahuchikh, Olyslager is looking to make her work a bit though

after a close match for three quarter (4-6), France lost 4-11. No glory own goal in the end, so they are out.
Why wouldn't they just start off with a massive amount of own goals?! The other team wouldn't be able to stop them or even gain possession, right? (I haven't watched any water polo)

I guess it would be a bit hard to explain that, especially in front of your home crowd. So they tried to win instead.

But I also don't know enough about water polo to really judge their final quarter performance. It looked pretty bad to me.

9.91 slowest time for my man Oblique. I thought he would at least medal, oh well. Still, a great finals with insane depth.

I've never seen anyone manage to come across so unlikeable in such a small span of time without saying anything
While he is a colossal tool, I did mark out for him telling the British interviewer at the World Indoors earlier this year to be quiet and be respectful when she was trying to interview him during another athlete's medal ceremony.

I will say this as a regular person, not a doctor or scientist. Throughout my life I have had multiple warnings but multiple people, professional folks about dirty water and that includes rain water and ponds, rivers and lakes, ocean. There are tons of things out there!! Including hepatitis and a bunch of stuff like cysts of different types!! I personally don't see how a "temporary" cleaning could have been effective. I have had bicycle and motorcycle friends that got parasites in South America and India while traveling and lets just say everything involved was not fun. If you see what is in beautiful, pristine rivers and lakes..yikes..but a dirty urban river..no thanks!!!
I have a drinking straw, tube style water purifier device and I got it for camping after I watched a scared straight video of stuff that is in water!!
