They got the finish that matched the strength of their riders.

Had the 6th and 7th favourites on the exchanges - got 4th.

Talk about scrapping the bottom of the barrel!

They were ****e!

That would be Sky.

Hard to say really. Who had the worse day, the strong team who don't feature at all, or the team who have five men in the lead group and manage not to get a podium?

Looked like Sky were the only ones not riding for second today, disappointing. Epic performance by Boonen regardless and a worthy winner.

What :confused: 2 riders in Top 10, that's good, isn't it ? :confused::rolleyes:'

If Thomas was here they could had got a podium, next year should be better. Hagen totally disappointing, let him focus on sprints and forget about classics.

To be one of the strongest teams of the day (4 guys in a group of 14), then ride for completely the wrong rider, I'd call that a fail.

Will you stop bleating about Geraint Thomas, he wasn't here.

A podium a fail? No one could have beaten boonen today.

Says the guy who's been insisted that Ballan will for nearly a month now. Interesting how much your position changes so much ones the evidence arrives.

I think they might actually have been better served by being a bit weaker at that point, to be honest. With 5 men, nobody wanted to help them because they'd still be outnumbered, so they waited until the odds were better, so we were left with Stannard vs. Boonen and Hayman vs. Boonen (aided by Terpstra's disruption) until it was too late. If Sky had only had their 2 strongest riders or maybe 3 (let's say Hayman, since he was really strong today, EBH and Flecha), then other riders would have had more reason to involve themselves in the chase and help Sky before Boonen's gap got too big.

When the hell did I? Only in the PR predictons did I do so. That was more like who you wanted to win
