Race is unfolding gorgeously for Van der Poel so far. He hasn't had his face in the wind at any high intensity effort yet.
As long as Philipsen could be in a 2nd group behind him, he can just follow the others. Would be ideal.

This is what I wanted from Van Aert, taking the race into his own hands. Laporte's crash ruined a lot though, but I like what I see.

Just tuned in a little while ago, first thing I saw on my screen was a brain. Those helmets, I think they are mesmerizingly awful.

Otherwise the weather is nice, the scenery is of lovely spring, and the cobbles look as murderous as ever. May the best (and luckiest) rider win!
