OK guys I have to admit VDP is much worse tactically than WVA today.
First time watching cycling, I see. Let me explain: In a situation where the other favorite has a very strong teammate, you have no vested interest in helping them, particularly when you're a strong rider yourself. Also, when the favorite is riding like a meathead, you let him ride like a meathead. He's alreay dropped one of his teammates, why not let him drop the other?Either vA has negative IQ or hes feeling so outlandishly strong that hes toying with all (well mostly vdP) of them
lol, he's riding tactically the best race i have ever seen him ride.
He was looking for some food. The gel attached to the bottle ripped off during the exchange.Van Aert definitely not happy with that bottle

Because he wants to win.I don't get why VDP ride so aggressively when Philipsen is in the group?
Indeed, he called to the team car afterwards. And also threw the next bottle away. He wants food. Hopefully there's no hunger knock incoming. He was looking for some food. The gel attached to the bottle ripped off during the exchange.
He is clearly feeling super strong. Having said this if he can't drop the group he should probably lead out philipson :OFact: Taking Philipsen to the line would be bad for everyone. If vDP isn't feeling super strong, delivering Philipsen to the line is a great idea.
