I laughed when Phil said they hung the Olympic rings from London Bridge blah blah then Paul repeated word for word what Phil said with even more emotion in his voice. Ho hum.

I await PL unpacking his suitcase for retirement.

In some ways it's not his fault but every time I see a clip of Armstrong charging up a climb, it's PL's voice that provides the gushing soundtrack. In audio terms, the two are irrevocably linked.

I heard Paul bigging up the 1992 Olympic gold medallist Geraint Thomas yesterday.

I knew he'd won Junior Paris-Roubaix, but had no idea about his win at the Under 7's Olympics. Thanks Paul.
