Pretty boring so far. The process hasn't opened any new names but Luis Leon. Have hearings finished already?

I don't understand the need for 11 blood bags. I mean. That's a year's supply innit?

50 racing days / 11 BBs = one every 4.5 racing days or so.

Sorry I've been following it a bit but not too closely.

How would this help his case? I thought the Spanish government wanted him to keep quiet about his clients and its unrelated to the charges of dangerous medical practices.

I think that's the conspiracy theory, in reality it may not be true. We'll have to see how it pans out.

The fact that pretty much every national governing body has said "give us the list!" or at least its been printed as such in the news Fuentes is still asking, "does anyone want the list?", pretty clearly states its just his game and we're never going to see a list.

If Contador's name was in there would that be curtains for his career?

That depends on a lot of things. Firstly what do they find linked to his name? Blood transfusions, PED's or nothing very specific. Then there is the statute of limitation. This is all 2006 and pre-2006 and might well fall under the SOL.

It won't be good though for him if there is proof of him being involved irrespective of whether he would end with an additional ban or not.

Yes Fuentes is just playing a game, probably a threat to Spanish Authorties to keep himself out of jail

How many of those guys rode for Liberty Seguros Wurth in 2006? The team was ONCE before that. Lulu is there, then chances are Contador is to. Mancebo is also on the list. Also rode for the team.

Though I think the real hook would be having Vino on the list. In 2006 both he and Contador were on the same squad. Doubt they'll get them though.

Also if that list a few pages back is correct then CONI messed up. One blood bag for Valverde. Just one and they went solely after him because of Basso. Look how many he had in total for combined blood and plasma. Ridiculous. The names they need to find are the ones with multiple blood bags. Get them first.

Mancebo never rode for ONCE/LS.

Everyone on th'e list should be banned (once released) or no one. Number of blood bags is irrelevant.

The level of participation is not reflected on the number of blood bags found. Riders would cycle blood in and out based on their training and racing schedules. the number of bags a rider had in Fuentes fridge at the time of the raid was based more on their timing then their level of participation.

Basso claimed he never did any transfusions, extracted out. Somewhat believable I suppose. You can't prove otherwise that they actually transfused the blood back right?!?! Easy way out and response. Or maybe he used his other 10..haha..

Yes you can. Hes listed on Fuentes Calendars as receiving re-infusions (Rider 2)

I agree, he's just using the willingness to give up names as a "get out of jail free card". Spain doesn't want those names out and you can bet someone of national importance like a Nadal or Contador won't show up. Those bags were disposed of a long time ago after a little exchange of funds somewhere.

If Ufe really said it, I'm afraid he is already under the tutelage of spanish secret services and won't say anything more.

What does this follow-up mean? Does it just mean that Fuentes was paid to be a witness? Cant imagine that is allowed.

'According to Spanish press, Real Madrid claims Fuentes was acting as an expert witness for them in Le Monde libel trial'
