Super lame parcours
Why exactly?

It's a good normal WC parcours, certainly better than 2012 & 2011 and on par with/better than 2010.

I'm very happy that they have gone back to full route on the lap.

That lap should have been raced in the opposite direction.

And have people complain that the last climb is 10km from the finish? :p

Much obliged for posting a proper Men Elite RR profile, Netserk

It's not like there are any differences between the different RR laps :p

I suppose the intention was to make a route for puncheurs. But some of the rouleurs might survive. It really depends on how the race will be ridden.
Good balance between the profile and pace, I'd say.

Why do all other road races except the Elite Men one have actually readable profiles?

Because the elite men's I got off of PCS, all the others I got from taking screenshots of the profiles Steephill gave me, then uploading those to my photobucket account.

So the elite men's are a bit smaller.

Yeah big breakway and dangerous put pressure on Australia who will probably have all the team riding for Gerro. Otherwise, game over

don't worry about it. tvetcov will attack big time
i think there is a big chance he will win this bike race.
prepare for romania mutant attacks:cool:

I think Spain and Italy just need to ride the race insanely hard for about the last 120km. Even if they can't drop Gerrans they'll shed most of his team (which isn't as strong as Orica) and then riders will be able to attack more easily in the last couple of laps.

They've got the teams to do it.

Most of the teams are preparing for a hard race according to the selections so far.
But I'm inclined to think that the selections are reflection of expectations rather than intentions.

Expectations: Spain, Belgium and Italy to blow the race apart. Valverde, GVA, Nibali to podium.
Likely reality: 2014 LBL V.2 + Valverde podium of course. Only thing more certain is a Vos win/2nd place.

All 3 races are clear. Orica will take TTT this time (OPQS lost 3 guys, Orica only one from last year). Tony Martin takes the ITT and the RR will be decided by a sprint between Gerrans, Valverde and Kwiatkowski. Maybe Sagan. I don't like it but I would put my money on Gerrans. Usually he is the fastest of the puncheurs.

Or short: Very boring and very predictable Worlds.
