There are riders for whom this Giro can be considered heartbreakingroundabout said:That was heartbreaking. And probably no chance for redemption tomorrow with Astana and Movistar having strong teams
He's getting old. This may have been his last, best chance.Hugo Koblet said:I think it's great that he lost any chance of a podium today. Hopefully he'll remember this next year and actually attack at some point in the race when he has the form to do so.
He does try but he's really not explosive at all. He's such a nice and cute person too, this was sort if his last chance and it's really sad for him not to get it.Hugo Koblet said:I think it's great that he lost any chance of a podium today. As much as cheering for a rider is.

Formolo as well!?RedheadDane said:Was he seriously the only GC rider who could be bothered to stay with the peloton during the stage today? Respect for that.
povero pozzo.I swear he has the worst luck for the Vuelta: hit by a car in a small village in Calabria and he's broken his arm and leg. Pretty serious injury at his age and naturally skips the Vuelta
Remember 2014 when Pozzo would've been fresh as daisy and thus could've been up there with Contador & Froome?I swear he has the worst luck for the Vuelta: hit by a car in a small village in Calabria and he's broken his arm and leg. Pretty serious injury at his age and naturally skips the Vuelta
Yikes...wish him a good recovery in the off-season, get back strong, but as years go by it sure is more difficult to get back 100%, and even harder to improve, get better than ever after such injuries. Fingers crossed...I read he had also broken 6 ribs, besides the arm and leg. At 37 I sure hope this isn't the end of his career!
