Will be hard for Nibali to win a classic without a good (uphill) sprint. Lombardia is his best chance if he can stay upright.

He'll have a good chance at LBL as well.

I am sure Sagan will win everything next year; classics, GT's, shorter stage races, worlds road race and TT - everything!!

Because he is God.

Not with Valverde and Andy Schleck back and hopefully a fit Gilbert again.

If they are in form then yes, Valverde was no where to be seen in the classics this year and all his results (with the exception of worlds) came from stage races, and there's still a big question mark over if Schleck will be back to form. Gilbert I see as the most dangerous to Niabli's chances at LBL. But of the 3 Ardennes races LBL will present him with his best chance for a win.

Valverde needed a GT in his legs, just like Phil.

2013 will be the second coming of ebh. You haven't seen anything yet! You heard it here first.

Sure, but I have a feeling his achilles will be somewhat overstrained. ;) Moreover this isn't the first time I've read this, and everything EBH can do, Sagan will do twice as good.

Still Valverde will be the man next year, probably with Fleche/LBL, TdF podium and finally winning the Worlds in Italy. He can't stay away from Italy forever. Maybe it'll already happen in the Tour, depending on what route they've planned.

Also looking forward to the rematch of LBL 2010: Valverde vs Gilbert :D

I know that is the consensus, but I dont agree :) Looking forward to see Sagan and Ebh going full trottle head to head. Should be great entertainment.

The question with Sagan is, how much more can he progress? When he did well at the TDU as a 19-year old, I thought it was a fluke. Then came Paris-Nice, California, the Quebec race he got 2nd...

then his second year, I figured he couldn't improve. But then he won Sardegna, started hanging in the classics a bit more, and won a bunch of stages in his first GT.

Then in his third year, I figured he couldn't improve. But he showed at the end of long classics like MSR, RVV and AGR, then took the TDF by storm.

If he progresses in similar linear fashion next year, he'll be the best rider in the world, no doubt.

Thing i worry about with sagan is he said that he finds cycling boring, and he got a lot of glory at the tdf and at his home country he certainly will find more glory with a few more tour stages than with classics. Will he maybe just focus all on tdf and worlds?

He said that cycling is often boring and by that he meant the tempo ride stages during the Tour de France.

He loves to ride the final of a classic or stage race. So no he will not focus just on the TdF, where did you get that from?

The Ronde van Vlaanderen is the classic he wants to win the most.

I fail to see what his home country has to do with this. He's not getting paid by them.

I voted Cav b-cuz somebody needs to. I really think Sagan will dominate, which I will find appalling - due, in part, to reasons that I can not discuss in this forum.

I really want to see how Cav, Boonen, Canc, DeGendt, and Turbo Pinot do this coming year.
