If they do it properly, I expect Liege to be a different race to what we have know it for the last 6-7 years, much like Amstel. Just gotta competent for once, do it right and get much greater opportunity for a watchable race.

Exactly. All they need to do is make the 30km before La Redoute harder. Rosier and Maquisard is a big mag of nothing.

Adding the Targnon is all it takes. It's the hardest climb in Belgium. 2 km at 13% still fits into the whole "short but steep" aesthetics of LBL.

It can be added with 50-60k to go. Only problem is that you need to pave the downhill gravel sector for it to work.
