the interesting thing is that very few teams do reconnaissance.
it's not even a marginal gain compared to what peds bring you.

How sad that pre-riding the course is no longer even part of the prep.
It's still part of the prep, it just depends on the sections. When a new MTF or important descent is included you can bet that just about every team will pre-ride it. They will also check the condition of the cobbles and available lines through the sectors for the cobbled stage. I'll also bet that a good number of riders have been checking out the TT routes in Utrecht and Vannes - Plumelec.

Just because they don't bother with most of the flat stages or mountains used every freaking year (like the bl**dy Tourmalet) doesn't mean that teams don't go over the most important sections (see CSC in Overcoming, training on the Alpe)

I'm not sure my friends, that's why I started the thread!

What's the technical term for the old fashioned Aru virus?
Aicar indeed: convert fat into muscle with no effort at all

Ok so you know you can't convert fat into muscle yeah?
Increase your body's ability to use fat as a fuel - no problem.
Use fat as a fuel and lean up - no problem.

Of course you can’t. It helps using fat as fuel and helps the body building slowtwich fibres on its own. In aggregate what you see is that fat is gone and muscle has increased spending time on the sofa...

Because that’s what you observe in aggregate: a guy with a higher muscle mass and a lower fat mass, which tend to be impossible since fat loss is generally accompanied by muscle loss.

Yeah ok that's not "converting fat to muscle" - which is what you wrote.

Plus, fat loss is not generally accompanied by muscle loss. Depending on the starting state, the opposite is more likely - most people in society experience circumference reduction but weight increase or stasis, as they increase muscle but lose the less dense fat.
