Hmm, I guess we were too quick to criticize the sprinter teams - looks like they are playing cat and mouse, not wanting to catch the breakaway too early...

Guardini seems to get dropped quite easily, he didnt feature in any of the sprints except the one he won in qatar, and there was a few wee hills here, he is very young though.

Guardini dropped! No idea when or why.

Apparently because of that tiny hill they had to tackle  I guess he can only win when the stage is completely flat, without even 1 km of climbing...

Highly doubtful that we'll see him at the Giro this year. He would abandon it on the first climb...LOL

Garmin are on the front but I don't think they have the manpower to pull from this far out.

Now Colnago take over!

Iglinsky takes it! Farrar went first, Pettachi jumped at the same time on the opposite side of the road and Iglinsky rode his wheel right up to 50m to go.

3rd was a Farese Vini rider who was absolutely FLYING up the outside, no idea who.

Favila, say the commentators.

Iglinksky?

How **** are Pettachi & Farrar this year? Cav is going to roast these chumps, even if he's using the Giro as a warm up race with 0 prep before.

LOL Kirby thought it was Davis.

Anyone else hear his horrible attempting at saying Geelong?

Haha, the Bulgarian Eurosport commentator Evgeni Stavrev though the same and he needed the close up one minute later to realize it was not Davis :D

I guess Iglinsky looks a lot like Davis...LOL

Kirby is a true comedic gem.
Surprised Iglinsky was able to out kick Ale Jet.
If you wanted a reason not to send Guardini to the Giro, we saw it today.
He really is very similar to Cav.

Guardini is a very chunky looking rider for a youngster I must admit. The weight drops off Cav though and he gets quicker- hence all the wins.

Riding a couple of weeks at the Giro might do Guardini some good and make him a better rider.

Cav's a quitter.

He doesn't try his hardest and get beat by Iglinsky.

Cav has certainly been more impressive than Farrar... which says more about Farrar than about Cav, I guess.
