Compared to Brechel, Greipel's been, well, riding this season. And he'd clash with Gilbert more, too.

Ah, so OPL shouldn't buy cyclist that can have injuries? Not all German cyclists are protected by their fat when they fall, so Greipel could've also had an injury, that would be unlucky, but that's sport.

Breschel being injured is bad luck, but I'm sure he'll turn out to be a good buy in the end ;)

I just gave an example of what type of cyclists they should have bought instead of Greipel and his possy.

50 km left and 6 minutes for the lead group, Vichot is up there and no one in the peloton seems to care again. Not sure what the stage profile is like it seems to be a bit more hilly though.

The last hill is good enough for some action

Looks like a good stage, although these profiles can be quite misleading sometimes....

Looks like a few of the teams are starting to chase now

Either that profile is way off or it was another soft-pedal day because the peloton is huge.

They're not off, but they're ridiculous, like so many profiles we've seen this season. Look at stage 7:

Awesome Ardennes-style stage, we should get an incredible spect- oh wait, are those 20m increments on the altitude axis? Nevermind then.

the last hill is 200 metres altitude in 6 km, which is like what? 3%? that's nothing

If this is the *hardest* stage, then it probably means it will be a sprinter for the overall win in this tour?

Am I crazy to think that Greipel could still get himself together and do enough in the remaining sprints to win overall? (Despite some opinions of him on here :p )

Or maybe Farrar, considering he already has a few seconds in hand...

that's one of the best ones I have seen

Looks like the break will be caught, Lampre could be pretty tired by now though they have done all the chasing so far, sprint might be interesting.

Carlton Kirby didn't tip Allan davis to win... I am amazed :S

Looks like they're riding over the Sagrada Familia.

i hope petacchi wins for the safety of the peloton in turkey, he seems to be in a very foul mood this tour, they said on eurosport he was complaining about iglinsky beating him yesterday :S Is greipel there I saw him at the back a wee while ago but he might have been getting water or something.

This race gets crappier every year. A real Tour of the Turkey.

Even in it's emaciated form Romandie would make for a better viewing.

Why the hell was he talking about Petacchi.

edit: also, I just figured he was trying to say "Caja Rural" that one time. Wow. Just wow.
