Thank god they didn't peak too early this year. ;)

Now to maintain this peak form till the start of the Tour de France and they can take a well deserved break.

I do like Harmon, he annoys me sometimes with his biased ways, but you can tell he genuinely loves the sport, great stuff there.

I still remember his effort on the WW memorial stage at the giro, he did a phenomenal job that day also.

Anyway bos was quick today, nice for him.

It was Carlton Kirby - Dave Harmon on duty at Romandie this week.

I refute that, Kelly is the best of the lot on ES

The thing with Kirby is he is not a cycling fan. He is just a guy they bring in to call things they don't have other commentators for, in any sport.

He thinks J Rod won Flanders for example.

As such listening him get excited about our sport is like watching a cycling fan being made, live.

Who was that guy commentating with Brian Smith at T-A earlier in the season?

He had a very good knowledge of the sport.

Why can`t Eurosport get him back for the races that Harmon does`nt do?

Cant remember the name but he is in his 20's so I assume they have more of a long term plan for him and let him come in a bit over the years.

About the commentators on Eurosport. I've listened to a fair bit of Eurosport cycling coverage this year and I can assure you that they are more knowledgable, less biased and narrow-minded and less annoying than any commentator on Dutch national TV. It might not be perfect, but it could be worse and I would say Eurosport is doing a fantastic job of bringing cycling to non-cycling nations in a decent way.

Definitely. Thank **** for Eurosport is french. Otherwise we would probably be fed up with Lacrosse or racing cars.

I don't agree, that guy Kirby gets on my nerves just as much as Herbert Dijkstra. Their commentary is more about (over)enthusiasm than knowledge.

Yes, but deMart is a monument, I do like Ducrot, dislike Dijkstra but I still prefer listening to the commentators on Sporza :)
