Decathlon will be a Swiss-registered team. I believe starting in 2027 so all the French tax stuff is out the window
Sort of defeats the purpose to stick with a French team if it won't actually be French registered. Then again if sponsor and team leaders and bulk of the riders are French then perhaps it will be perceived as a French team just like Unibet Rose Rockets are not accepted as a French team even though they are registered there.

Otherwise he might as well just go to one of the top teams.

That was unknown, at least, although he was seen training several times. French journalists have been saying this for weeks.

Furthermore, Remco is at a different stage in his career. They tell us they don't want to put pressure on him at 19, but they want to present his Tour de France participation as that of a favorite to win, with a show worthy of the NBA. They themselves are creating that drama.
For his own sake, I hope he just loses 1-2min during stage 6. Everyone immediately understands he isn't winning TDF this year, and top 10 would already be a great result for a 19 year old in TDF.

Big talks within Decathlon to send Seixas to the Tour as long he is 100% in shape and not burned out from racing in the spring.

Burned out? He's 19 of course, and has been racing since February. I think he has bigger issues at the end of the season if he does TDF though.

Meeh it was Seixas himself carrying the team mostly not the other riders. Riccitello was hardly any use to Seixas the entire race. Bisiaux burned out quite fast, but lets call him reasonable. Prodhomme was reasonable as well.

If they want to give him a team that is not a weakness in the Tour they will have to up the bar a lot in my opinion. And with so much money spend on Kooij and his train that could become problametic.
they can field a pretty decent team this year for the tour despite not renewing armirail

if they can leave kooij at home

muaddib
ricci
prodhomme
app
benoot
lapeira
bissegger
hoole

reserves : bol , muhlberger

if kooij must go

muaddib
ricci
prodhomme
app
kooij
bol
hoole
bissegger

reserves : benoot , lapeira

the task in the tour will be completely different to itzulia , almost never need to control or to pull the peloton . riccitello can play dead in the gruppetto every day without a hc climb while the team keeps paul in position and with company to keep him fed

i wouldnt fret over the ttt at all , differences the last spot on the roster can make is too small

More important than names is form, and right now Decathlon is in the top 2-3 of the peloton. Lund and Bisseger aren't top cyclists by name, but their form tells a different story.

thats not a source for your claim

seixas doesnt confirm anything about canada there

please link and quote something that would make your claim true
L´equipe said he asked him in Algarve and that he confirmed it. I can't access paid articles.

I didn't know this was a police station where proof is required :tearsofjoy: . Start by setting an example and provide objective evidence of what you just claimed in the Paris-Roubaix thread.

you made a specific claim about a public statement by seixas but chose to link a false source for it

if you havent read that statement , dont claim it as a fact that he had made such a statement

to not even admit your mistake afterwards and retract reeks of reckless epistemic pollution

No matter what has been said, nothing will have been set in stone in February, especially not with his continued progression since then in mind.

Prudhomme doesn't think Seixas will be dropped by Pogacar in Liege, and dreams of a sprint between the two of them.
