2013: 70% of the suspicious bio passport profiles were Russian

http://beta.nzz.ch/sport/systematischer-betrug-in-russland-1.18517658 (German)

During the first 3 months of 2015 10 bio passport sanctions have been announced, all in athletics.
8 Russia
1 Qatar
1 Morocco
interesting stat, but isn't this just IAAF wanting to be seen to do the right thing?
IAAF polices its own sport, and like UCI they don't need WADA or anybody else to either dismiss or open passport cases.

#1. When the IAAF is the anti-doping authority, they are the only ones with the authority to open a case.
#2. I'm not so sure IAAF is doing anything but symbolic bio-passport testing. 385 TOTAL tests for bio-passport, yet lists no in-competition or out-of-competition bio-passport tests. http://www.iaaf.org/about-iaaf/documents/anti-doping#testing-statistics

According to WADAs testing statistics IAAF collected 17 IC ABP blood samples and 2860 OOC ABP blood samples in 2013. Apart from UCI they are the only international federation to have handed out bio passport bans. Just like the UCI cases the IAAF cases takes time. Several of the cases completed in 2015 was opened in 2012, with passport irregulareties dating all the way back to 2009.

Completed bio passport cases in athletics: 46
Completed bio passport cases in cycling: 14

The (then) head of the Russian Athletics Federation was IAAFs treasurer. It was he who was the middleman when Liliya Shobukhova tried to bribe away her bio passport case. It worked for a while, but then they must have run into someone at the IAAF anti doping department who wouldn't play along, and most of the money was payed back to Shobukhova.

Together with the former Canadian swimmer Karin Helmstaedt, Seppelt made the documentary film Staatsgeheimnis Kinderdoping (State Secret Child Doping) about the perpetrators and victims of doping in East German swimming

wiki wiki wiki pedia WHACK!

el oh el.
Oh wow. East German swimmers doping?!? No freaking way. What's next? Water is wet?

Uh you said:
A big problem with Seppelt is that he's largely been pretty quiet and reserved about the doping that's been going in Germany since

The first thing he ever did was a doping expose on German swimmers.

You got pwned. Tough luck. I am sure you'll find someone else to hate.

And completely change the topic or introduce a strawman to avoid admitting your error in that process too.
I wasn't 'owned' by anyone mate. It's alarming how whiney the Germans have gotten the last couple Olympics and World Championships. Russia did very well in London, Moscow and Sochi, whereas the Germans were disappointing and with tw crisi in the Ukraine going on, it's only natural to blame Russians for everything, including Germany's lack of medals. Where was Seppelt after Vancouver 2010, where the Germans were getting record medals?
