Seems very unlikely when Caisse are ready to pay him 2mil/year. I think the fact that they're a spanish team weights more than what Lefevere can offer. Besides, the beaches are much better in Spain.

Caisse's roster is full. Even if they wanted Contador, they have no room/money for him.

Someone could say that Contador isn't even on the market, since he's under contract for next season with Astana.

If Alberto finds a way out from under his Astana contract, Caisse can find a way to get him on the roster.

Spot on there Z Man - if Bertie is freed, Caisse will bring on a second sponsor if necessary to fund him.

I like the Caisse fit - it excuses Valverde from the pressure of trying to win the Tour when he knows its not realistic. Let's him focus on one-day monuments, stage wins and the Vuelta where he is a genuine contender every time.

Enzue quoted on Marca as saying they are "looking ahead to the 2010 Tour with no thoughts of Contador"

Wait and see how Valverde goes at his CAS hearing. If he loses I'll happily bet everything I own on Contador going to Caisse d'Epargne.
