I wonder if Obama will snub young Chris Horner just like
Roosevelt snubbed Jesse Owens all those years ago?

He just proved that "40 is the new 20". what more can you ask from the guy:rolleyes:

I would be super p***ed off, if he didn't get the sort of welcome that Quintana got for coming second in TdF.
esp, since he is also going to take WCRR:rolleyes:

Cycling's not as big in the US as in Colombia, plus Colombia being smaller means they will celebrate these kind of success's more then they will be celebrated in the US.

At this point the major coup for me is the relation to Armstrong. Lance could never embrace anyone else's success and he always knew Horner was stronger, like Floyd. Secretly his jealousy must be eating him up.

Well, today Horner can bask in the glory and say, "told you so!" to the Texan, and anyone else who's doubted him over his long career.

When a rider who has had no GC results whatsoever wins the Vuelta at age 41 doesn't cast doubts?

Yes it obviously does but we have a place called the Clinic where those doubts can be expressed openly. But not on this thread or the PRR forum please.

Horaay for chris horner! We now have a champion who has hid his talents from the world until the late age of 41! We are witnessing a miracle and for you who don't beleive you are missing out on a beautiful race! WHAT A MiracleS miracles miracles miracles miraculous miracles!

He won the first tour of Georgia. Chris has never had the leash let that loose to be the GC guy. He did win a lot of US races but he has always been a very good climber.

As for the thread on the Clinic it is 32 pages of nada. Just a lot of ****ers that are sure he is cheating along with just about everyone else named Chris.

It's a great inspiration for middle-aged men everywhere to see a man become for the first time a great champion, and in such a dominant way, over the age of 40. Such perserverance in the face of aging gives us all hope.
