As much as I like you foxy bb I'd argue the 19 pages include people who can separate two issues and also have some self restraint.

It's a great inspiration for middle-aged men everywhere to see a man become for the first time a great champion, and in such a dominant way, over the age of 40. Such perserverance in the face of aging gives us all hope.

Yeah true. Just another GT winner from the united stages who gives a lot of hope with his perseverance.

I didn´t attack the clinic posters. It was just a counter one.

Fair point, I'd also say that it's unfair to characterise all the posters in the clinic thread in that way.

Some nice words from Horner. :) Kudos to him for giving credit to Nibali for the show he put on.

“This is an amazing moment,” said Horner at the finish. “You said Nibali attacked six times? I thought they were ten or twenty.

“But ok, I agree. He put on an amazing show,” he said of his big overall rival. “I can imagine how beautiful it was to watch from a couch. It must have been unbelievable for the fans. I hope people have enjoyed every pedal stroke.

When a rider who has had no GC results whatsoever wins the Vuelta at age 41 doesn't cast doubts?

It does not seem to matter who the winner is. If the wrong rider wins, like Froome in the Tour, the anti Sky lobby kicks in. I don't think I have watched one race this year where there were not doubts about the winner by some people. This is the reality of the sport now and probably the only sport where it happens so often. I have enjoyed the race and that's all I care about for the moment.

Congrats to Chris! Being in San Diego where Chris lives and train over the winter, I can only say that I'm very happy for him. He is a very humble guy who regularly shows up for local rides and is always friendly with everyone. I'm proud of you Papa!

He's right, it was probably a bit of a historic moment, what are the chances that we're going to see that again in our lifetime? I was really on the "edge" during that climb...I feel sorry for the haters who couldn't rise to the occasion...

In my lifetime I've already seen some amazing breakaway climbs in grand tours made by American cyclists, but this is the first one I've seen by someone over-the-hill, so to speak, so you're probably right that we won't see this again soon. Surely the youngsters will figure out how to keep up with grandpa.

Some of us are over 40 and understand what it takes to win the Vuelta at such an age.

Keep post insinuating doping in the clinic. The admins might clamp down on you otherwise.

... the cynics and the sceptics: I'm sorry for you. I’m sorry that you can’t dream big. I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles.

I'm not insinuating anything. I'm simply very impressed that a man over 40 can do what no man over 40 has ever done in the history of the world, which is outride a bunch of younger men for three weeks. I'm old enough now to find this quite incredible. I wish I knew how he did it, because it's the most remarkable athletic feat in memory.

Good to see you getting behind Chris finally.
