Don't see how he's gotten the attention of the new Trek center of attention or formation, its all about the classics now for Trek with a sprinkle of Schleck because they're buddies otherwise they'd be out as well.

Just look at R.S. post Vuelta win, were there posters and hoopla surrounding Chris's win? How about an advert with Chris in the ad? (or did I miss it I don't read the commercial ad's any more than the ones I block on the web) I don't think his sponsor(s) is(are) particularly proud of his win. That should of been his sign. Then again, who bolts home post a GT win? No post race ride with the fans, a post race day with the press, a post race commercial? Nothing...

looks like negotiation tactics imo, soon Trek will be able to sign Horner in return for a year's supply of Big Macs. Add ketchup if feeling really generous.

It will all come together in December. Merry xmas.

The Giro route suit quite well for him... but if he find a team and go there, things are going to be different than in the Vuelta.

First becouse he will be a favourite for the final victory, and nodody would let him go...and second becouse in the Vuelta he wasnt tired, for his rivals it was different, and in the Giro that is not possible.

As well he was the leader of an strong team, with Cancellara in the flat, Kiserlowski and other strong riders in the mountains...he must find a team that can go to the Giro, that sign a 42 years old man as leader of an strong team...

Difficult, for sure.

papy can't make the difference on 6-7 percentages climbs like risoul, pla d'adet or chamrousse unfortunately. i don't see him riding le tour even if i wish
again, his problem won't be in finding a team, he will. his health should be his only concern

Dunno...with Scarponi moving to Astana after all, Basso could use some help at Cannondale...what about Lampre, can't see Rui Costa competing for GC at the 2014 Tour. BMC, not a good route for TVG either.

In his Vuelta shape, PDBF has his name written all over it! Not so much after that I agree...

Given the Tour 2014's profile I think Horner's going to get a good offer pretty quickly now ;-)

Assuming he has his Vuelta form he should be good for a few stage wins but I don't think he can challenge for yellow. Froome is in my opinion still a stronger climber and Horner would lose time to a bag of cement (or Andy Schleck) in the 54km time trial.

before he can challenge anyone, he needs to conquer his first battle.. first..which is get in to a WT team. Other wise, he might as well retired. With or without Vuelta win.

He also wrote that LuLu will ride for Torku together with Casar...

OK thanks, might be best to wait for something else to come out before I get my hopes up!

Chris to sign with Lampre. Froome Dog, Nibali Dog, Contador Dog better watch out. The Horner Hound is back biting you in the ***.

It keeps getting better:

Good news, twas about time Horner got a good ride! Bounced back after the terrible "Christina" claim last week...I suppose he'll now be getting more respect from CN and won't be hounded by DB anymore, hehe...

what drugs are you on?

good signing for lampre, im sure merida were keen to have american influence due do their heavy involvement with team and expansion into road bikes.

On the pot thing, i can see it will be good way for governments to make money on it rather than have to crack down on it.

All the articles I've seen just say he's been "linked". Which means squat. He's been linked to about 10 different teams and none of those happened. Is there something else to this story that I have missed?

yep, Horner's agent still shopping around. Clearly its hard to close a deal, but prices are coming down by the day.
