Race Design Challenge II

It's just brutal to make this race. I was working on my last week and needed a mountain stage on a specific day. Basically no problem because the race was in an area with more than enough difficult climbs but just when I designed the stage and was absolutely satisfied I noticed that I forgot to use a Roman town as a finish and could redesign the whole stage because there is no town anywhere near it

:p That is the challenge, isn't it.
Anyway good that you bumped this. Does anybody need a deadline extension? One month ago there were people hinting about it... do you need more time?

Wow just read about this, this is pretty cool. I'm contemplating joining in too, though it will be difficult with the time.

How important is it to have stages all over the Roman empire? I mean, if we have to make stages from Hadrian's Wall to Egypt, from Carthage to Byztantium etc. that's pretty sick. Even with long stages and transfers.

How long are transfers allowed to be on rest days? Covering large parts of the Roman Empire will be easier if I'm allowed to make them take a galley and cover a few 100 km's on the four rest days.

From the OP:
You will have a transfer limit of 150 km between stages (no limits during rest days)

As for how important it is to cover all the empire. Well it's not of the utmost importance, just like it happens with real GTs. Ofc if you manage to cover every single province/place of interest that ever was, you'll get the most cultural points when it's time to evaluate the whole route. ;)

Ah thanks, somehow I missed that note in the OP. That will make things easier. :)

Not sure how much time I'll have for elaborate write ups of every stage. But heu! Maybe I will participate but not win due to constraints of time. :p

Well write-ups can only give you a small bonus. The important part is the route :p Good luck

Work is kicking my butt these days. B@lls to the wall until 8/17. I have hardly started designing anything. I hope that I won't have to drop out, because I really want to be part of it. I have a couple of stages and finishes that I think no one thought about. Darn. And I still need to figure Imgur out...

I looked at the original/first challenge: how much time is allowed between one posts and the following participant needs to post?

there isn't any time to wait. Participants can post whenever they can on that day.
So it's 32 days of competition, one stage posted each day, right?
Probably every 2nd day, like the last time. On the days on which we don't post we get our points. I think that system worked very well and also gave you the chance to make write ups even if you didn't have time on one day.
