Some saying that Nys wasn't on mud tires so the rain in the last two laps derailed him a little bit.
Were all of the others on Rhinos / Limus from the start? Thought most opted for Typhoon/Grifos?

Fouquenet has put in an attempt on the Superprestige overall.

And now Fouquenet's mechanic just had a small crash.

Without the top riders I am not enjoying the cyclo cross immensely more, if I'd believe the rants of some forum users against the MVDP dominance. Actually its quite the opposite. I am a bit bored.

Serious question!
Do the organisers of the X2O Trofee series always make sure to position one of the giant ducks so it's visible in the background on the finish line shots?

(Okay, not actually a very serious question.)

No, it's just moved to there all by itself in order to get a good view.

We've obviously reached the silly end of the season: one post from halfway through the women's race, followed by six comments about giant plastic ducks, and no comment on the outcome of the women's race nor anything at all about the men's.

Good point. For me Olympics viewing superseded watching cross races 😉

Well it wasn't a very interesting race Brand looked to be taking it easy post WC, Alvarado wasn't troubled, boring course, lots of the usual racers of onto road programs. I didnt bother with the men's race.

So yes the giant plastic duck was more interesting 🦆

Everyone looks tired. No one seems to have any snap left in the legs. Usually the last couple weekends turn out some good racing from the second row, but this year everyone looks to be just wrapping up their series standings and preparing for vacation.

I'm sure Brand has changed her training since the worlds with Strade only a few weeks away, but maybe she was just caught out by a much changed course that was the opposite of her skillset, with her making numerous small mistakes. Coupled with the perfect course for Alvarado's running skills and snap out of corners.
