Both of today's races have been ones of attrition without much spectacle beyond crashes
which suggest a gradually widening gap for the Mens with MVdP leaving steadily the group behind.

Ah! I was gonna ask if the rumours they were being cancelled/delayed were wrong.
But, they've been the opposite of delayed, and then I guess they gonna go fast (I know it's based on time, not number of laps).

Hard to look past MvdP, but if he isn't going to win, a muddy course would be the type he'd be beaten on; he needs to be on an 'off' day, and the others have to be on top form. Toon and Wout have 'their' conditions....

Wow, it's completely broken up already. And 12 seconds for Mathieu after one lap. Over already?

The Belgians and Pidcock are regrouping but the gap for Mathieu is huge, 39 seconds.

Decimated. Jesus Christ. Piddy also amazing up to this point. He has Aerts dying a thousand deaths just to try and get on his wheel. Aerts might have a bit more in the tank at the end though, let’s see.

Surprised they're riding 7 laps. I think that will be one too many for Pidcock. Apparently, it's really cold, which might explain why Iserbyt has blown up

Pidcock really knows how to peak for the Worlds.
Van der Poel will win this with a gap almost as big as Van Aert's in Valkenburg.

Van Aert already catching Aerts. Amazing what he's doing.
