After the Giro di Fiasco of 2015, this is a slap in the face with a sweaty pair of knicks.

Looks like, for once, when they tell us the guy doped because he simply wasn't good enough, they'll probably be right.

Why? Armstrong was taking EPO and getting nowhere with it, till he met up with Ferrari, then 'KABOOM', 7TdFs in a row........Carretero not necessarily taking it to its max potential for him or got some dodgy doses, who knows but it proves one thing, with UCI nothing has changed in its attitude to doping.

I think that is quite sad, he doped and finishing a race is his greatest achievement. And I mean sad as in I feel for the guy, not in a - that's pathetic - way

UCI paid him to finish "gracefully" his donkey carrier and they have their scapegoat to fit in "Which small fish..." thread (before some marginal team grabs him and makes him a racehorse)
