That finale was an easy 11. Seldom have I seen such a attacked final 10km.

The finale was fantastic, but given the fact that there was action for all of the last 3 hours of the race as well, it would be stupid to give it anything lower than 9 imo

Obviously a 10. Only the most partisan of fanboys could vote for anything else.

If you didn't enjoy this you should stop watching cycling.

Why can i not enjoy cycling and give it a 9.5?

What a stupid reaction, and really rude tbh.

I just wanted to have Sagan and Canc a bit more involved in the race. Especially because they were dropped because of a crash. That's always a pity, for any rider. I don't have a favorite rider in this race anyway.

Wait that split was caused by a crash? I thought they were just caught out by an unexpected acceleration and bad positioning

10. Anything below 9 would be silly I think.

Have you ever rated a race or stage this high or even close?
This is probably my first 10, but last week I rated the Ronde a 9, same as last year's Giro. There's probably others.

Some people think I never like a race, but that's because it makes it easier for them to argue :D

This. Anyone voting less than 9 had to be too invested in seeing their particular rider in the mix or winning. I can't see how anything less than a 9 can be seriously justified. Attacks, splits, chases, crashes, saves, tension up until the line....I voted 10 obviously.

What about last year's Gent Wevelgem?

This is the reason why Paris-Roubaix is the greatest race in the world. The race that made me love cycling, the race that still hangs me to road cycling. The Queen of the Classics

The only race in the world in which the top favourites attacks with 120km to go. The only race in which making the breakaway is a good tactic.

The other good news is that Martin finally realised that classics like Paris-Roubaix are his for the taking because it is a race for rouleurs. Had he but realised that earlier.

Sad news is that Lars Van der Haar retired after the second feed zone but well for small Jack Russell like he is it's a far too hard race.

I was behind 3 crashes from sector 20 till 18. Then it was over for me. Stopped at second feeding! What an experience!! So cool! #thanks!

Maarten was right. He'd better race under rainy conditions. ;)

I was also so glad to hear that little Tanguy Turgis was 3rd in the Junior race. Anthony's younger brother. I've been following his evolution for 2 years now, since the "cadet" category. I think he's got as much talent as his brother (for those who play the "Guess Who Game" ;) )

Also we got the confirmation that Paris-Roubaix is more than just a cobbled race. The best cobbler in the peloton is Sep Vanmarcke by a country mile but he could not finish it off because it's more than anything a race for rouleurs.

My fave edition is still 2003 but this is Paris-Roubaix as you like it. The Queen of the Classics.

There was a crash on a cobble section, and at the same moment Der Tony accelerates at the front of the peloton.

Well that just sucks then :(

Subscribed. Utmost respect for Sep. I didn't watch the race back in 2003, and just after today did I realize I wasn't fully aware of the Roubaix 'spectacle', when I thought I was.

10, I was cheering for Tommeke, but you have to cheer for such an awesome winner. It was a perfect Paris-Roubaix, the essence of romantic cycling.

It's all part of the game at PR. The best riders usually spend quite a lot of energy making sure they are as close to the front as possible throughout the race.

9.5 almost perfect. If Sagan and/or Cancellara had got back on then 10.

And now for the ardennes...

Very entertaining race but because it could have been better by at least 0.5 points, it warrants a 9.

I totally agree. There needs to be space for different opinions

+1 even though I lost money on this race.

You might enjoy it and stop watching cycling anyway... when nothing compares 2 this.

I don't understand that. If Sagan and Canc would have got back on it would have been a completely different race. Immediately the pace would have dropped and it would have become defensive - no-one willing to work on the front, before a bit of action on the Carrefour de l'abre and a reduced bunch sprint.

It was exciting precisely because the two big favourites were dropped, and suddenly about 10 riders in the lead group realised they had a genuine shot at winning.

Re: Re:

I disagree with those saying that it would have been better if Cancellara ans Sagan had got back. The thing is, they were very much in contention for many km, and the chase was a huge factor in why this race turned out to be so good.

edit: Ninja'd
