9 for the elite mens race 3 last laps (the ones I reached to see)
7 for the elite women race
6 for the U23 mens race
8 for the junior boys race
unfortunately I missed the opportunity to see fellow country(wo-)man Amalie Didericksen's gold defence race.

8 for elite men TT
didn't see the other TT's

That makes it an overall score of 7.6 for the Ponferreda worlds from me.

And last year he waited for the final hill to be among the top2 riders at the top.
And in MSR 2012 he waited for the Poggio to be among the top3 riders at the top.
Key word here is shape. He didn't have it. And we knew it.

Fiesole and Poggio are under 1km climb with steep parts in it, none of these are uphill sprints. Nibali tried to go with Purito but barely reached the front of the peleton

5 because it was a location with so much potential, and yet the parcour was soft enough to restrict any selection.

Kwait's win is the only reward, not only to prove yet again that a winner MUST take chances & dare to do things others aren't prepared to do so, but to lecture Gerro & Valpiti for riding like the cowards they are

Bad parcours.

Gerrans 2nd tells the whole story.

I rate uk performance as ****e !. Apart from Wiggins 34 years young winning gold. Where are up coming uk riders Male and Female.

Same thing year after year. We have Team Sky and more uk riders with pro contracts but not many wins. Sky have been dreadful this year.

Uk media use Sky as a smoke screen, pretending everything is rosey with uk cycling. It is not.

So, what with lack of uk success and a **** boring circuit, and **** BBC coverage with **** commentators I rate this worlds pretty low.

Kwiatkowski was however a great winner today. 24 !

I gave it a 6. As an Aussie I was devastated to see Gerrans lose, but objectively i can now appreciate Kwiatowski's well timed attack. Good that Italy attacked as well, my only nusiance was Gautier who is usually an attacking rider (I know he had Nacer/ was really tired but still).

Yeah, blame everything on the parcours. People continue to fail to diagnose the racing issue.
I have never cared for this type of parcours for the worlds. That is my opinion. I know people want balance but I really don't enjoy when there is no selection. So I could have told you that before the race even started.

Seem like many fans around here would prefer repeats on Alpe D'Huez as the WS parcour or at least a route with 25% 10km long MTF.

I think the course was OK. These days, the guys are just that good and its very close therefore you still have 50 guys battling for the win.

Well, Lombardia is next week so the pure climbers will have their chances there.

10!! Amazing race! Great teamwork! Spectacular! Inspiring! Breathtaking!

The best rider in the world won! Michal Kwiatkowski with perfect attack, at perfect place, with perfect support from the team. Incredibly strong ride.

And I am not biased or drunk at all!! Love you Kwiatko!!!!

Why all the Gerrans hate? :|

If I'm totally honest, I can't blame him for riding like he does. It's just that his unique brand of wheelsucking is so, so dull.

May not have been the greatest Worlds ever but I enjoyed it, apart from the first couple of hours of the peloton club run with Phil's insane making dull monotone droning on. Thank God for his female assistant who provided informative, well researched comments.
Once the Poles took over at the front and the Hayles/Edwards team, who at least sounded interesting and animated, things got better and better right up to the nail biting finish.
Props especially to Kennaugh's great efforts, Visconti, Dimarchi and the Italian team in general, Nico's head rolling suffering, the Danes Jensen, Anderson and Breschel, Albasini's endless, albeit futile, slavery and of course Kwia's brave and incredible late attack.
As for wheelsuckers like Gerrans, they have always been around and always will be, just deal with it. If you cant drop them face the consequences.

Even though I am a huge fan of Kwiatkowski, I have to give this race as a whole only 6 points. 2/3 of the race we saw a polish TTT. With 70 to go Italy started to make it a little interesting, but almost nobody was really dropped for good. I mean, 50 guys within a minute of the world champ ...

Of course, his attack was brilliant but thats only 7 kilometers of 254. Not enough for more points in my opinion.
