Recovery & Rest for aging and elderly athlete

I am seeking information specifically about athletes age 60+.
Those of us who are 'nolonger young', but who continue to do regular training and exercise, and perhaps compete.

Do you know of any information that is specific to the rest & recovery needs and methods of this age group?

I am reasonably familiar with the 'general information' about R&R for athletes, but most of that seems to be derived from results obtained from younger people. Perhaps that general information applies, and just needs to be adapted to the individual - or is there more to learn?
