175 meters maybe, can‘t keep Remco from gesturing. If remco and Roglic raced each other in a 200km flat highway race, for how long would remco pull before asking for a turn? 175km?
Sorry, I got turned around:
Roglic has 5 GTs, 22 GT stage wins, 12 top 7 one-week races (including 6/7)
Remco has 1 GT, 9 GT stage wins, 0 top 7 one-week races
And here it is in chart form:But then Remco doesn’t have 1 and 1 in comparison either as he has 9 GT stage wins
Roglic | Remco | |
GT Wins | 5 | 1 |
GT Stage Wins | 22 | 9 |
Big 7 Wins | 12 | 0 |
Monuments | 1 | 2 |
Olympic Gold | 1 | 2 |
Worlds Golds | 0 | 3 |
Other significant* classics | 5 (3 x Emilia (beating Pogi) 1 x Milano-Torino 1 x Tre Valle Varesine) | 4 (3 x San Sebastián 1 x Brabantse Pijl) |
Pogacar beat Evenepoel by less time than he did Roglic in GC.Lets not forget Rogla was beating Pogi in GTs, week long stage races, monuments and at nationals. Don't really know who else can say that.
So that argument about Rogla being or not being legit, not even Pogi can deny it, so.
Great metric to establish that Evenepoel at the height of his powers is most likely better than the Slovenian Stuntgranny when he takes 4 dates with Italian tarmac and courses of antibiotics as his main Tour prep strategy.Pogacar beat Evenepoel by less time than he did Roglic in GC.
Even as a one day racer, Evenepoel is such a championship merchant smhAnd here it is in chart form:
*Significant to me

Edit. This will get moved or should get moved, but I was responding to a comment in this thread. Sorry!

I gave the same facts that is used by the post I replied to.Great metric to establish that Evenepoel at the height of his powers is most likely better than the Slovenian Stuntgranny when he takes 4 dates with Italian tarmac and courses of antibiotics as his main Tour prep strategy.
A long time ago.AFAIK Rogla is the only cyclists that has beaten Pogi at a GT, week long stage race, at monument and at nationals. If that is not the case feel free to correct me.

Palmares of Remco and Roglic combined:
5 vueltas and a giro
Couple of tour podiums
3 olympic gold
3 world titles
3 LBL's
Nothing else of major significance
(They're teammates so any future wins are for the team.)
To be fair, it is hard to win the Nationals against Pogacar for the vast majority.Yeah, others have been trying for years.
Side note: Roglic started racing at about 27. Remco is currently 25. So their two careers don't quite sum to one normal full length career, but it's close.Palmares of Remco and Roglic combined:

I wonder though, I feel like this isn't a Vingo vs Roglic thing so much anymore where Roglic rightly felt pushed out before his time, and Vingo/Visma rightly had to choose, and they chose the stronger GC rider.I'd like nothing better for this to turn it into a buddy movie with a happy ending. Ideally, Remco and Roglic collaborating on a big win or two to close our Roglic's career, and then collaborating on Remco taking down one or both of the top 3 (Pog, Vinge, MVDP) in a big event, setting him up for the future.
...I think it's more likely to go the way of UAE without Pogacar, though.
1. If this happens it shall warrant a "ciclismo is back" copypastaThey had a few great 1 vs 1 battles. Now I hope that 1 + 1 equals more than 2 and they help each other. I actually don't doubt they are a match. Remco talks a lot, Primoz less. So there won't be agitated discussions or awkward silences at the coffee corner. I can't wait to see them celebrating a victory together. And who knows, maybe @Red Rick starts to like Remco a little bit!
I don't fail to see anything. I can't belive Roglic fans wants him go to the Tour again
