I would say Roglic managed to have Remco number until 2024. With 2023 due to being tactically savy.
I can not say Roglic is still better. I personally believe from 2024 onwards Remco is better. But i will say Roglic managed to beat Remco when both hit high levels in 2023. It was a matter of seconds in catalunya, and Vuelta Remco cracked for whatever reason.

Does that make Roglic the bigger talent or better rider. I would say no. I will say that GT wise i think Remco can manage a higher peak, but Roglic can hit a certain level easier. So If both were entering their prime at 26, i would probably go for Roglic if GT was all my concern. Again i think remco can hit greater GT heights though. Now If i'm looking at the total package, it's Remco.

Then I don't know what you've been doing for the past 3 weeks...
And yet when the German rider on the team was riding for 3rd on GC, his teammate was allowed to go stage hunting and drop out of the Top 5 on GC for no reason when it was absolutely clear he wouldn‘t be winning a stage the way he was doing it. The team definitely doesn‘t only revolve around German riders. Of course Denk cares somewhat if the rider in question is German or not, but that‘s not what the team is centered around.

To be fair, you don't tell Roglic what to do. At his age and with his palmares. You can advice and make team decisions. But once you made the team decision to select Roglic for the Tour, you can not tell Roglic to work for Lipo unless clear agreements been made before the tour when the selection was being made.

Slow day? Just felt like creating some more work for yourself?
Yeah, I wasn't really intending to re-ignite the debate. But at risk of encouraging necro-posting:

But please re-run the arguments there, not here

This could absolutely be true, and conversely, if Roglic can't follow instructions, follow goals of the team, you can always just pretend he doesn't exist and chase him down like Visma did.. Have both ends working against the middle, if Roglic attacked after in team meeting everything was designed around getting Lipowitz up the road I would just chase him down.
Roglic doesn't strike me as a rogue actor, guy appears composed, and professional.
If there was ever a rider that left the Kuss catastrophe with no drama, no nastiness, and now he has severely under delivered at Bora, I really expect for everything to work out with the arrival of Remco.

Isn't that against the rules?

I see what's really bothering you.
