Last year in Glasgow, Pog nearly fainted after the road race. Staff had to help him move around.

Remco casually does a double after the Tour and destroys those in both events who are only preparing for the Olympics. Already at the Tour I was surprised at his level, nothing so far this year suggested that he'd be comfortable being around Pog and Vingegaard without bad days...

Obviously Remco has had unusual talents since his junior days, but now we're at WT level and to be honest classics and GT's have become,
"Pogacar attacks and no one can follow ... Vingegaard attacks and no one can follow ... van der Poel attacks and no one can follow ... Remco attacks and no one can follow ..." Maybe it's because the sport has become more like European soccer with a few big teams who always win the big competiitons.

Throw in the manic pace of the entire peloton (nearly) and it's "junior style" racing with scientific "embellishments".

According to cycling highlights Remco TUE Ritalin was confirmed since his Lombardia crash 😱 They just responded in comments on yt on their latest video.

To me as someone who has been on that medication it makes sense. Also with Remco behaviours. Not just the adhd, that seems rather obvious lol, but how he seemingly gets the extra autist-ish traits that central stimulants seems to give some people. (Especially if there were autist-ish traits to begin with lol.) It explains his meltdowns (aggression and central stimulants goes hand in hand), even his inability to understand that people won't pull with him (his waving antics for people to pull is always as hilarious as he gets so worked up).

I hope someone could also give central stimulants to Kelderman who so obviously easily forgets what he's doing and looks like he's not completely awake. If he already has it plz up the dose lol 😁

I could write an essay lol All "top 4" seem neurodivergent in one way or another whether clinical or subclinical. Cycling simply is such a sport you gotta be at least a bit insane to handle it. Much more so than for example football. And trust me when I say "insane" and "neurodivergent" it's not an insult. It's just a biological description. I am not talking about psychiatric diagnoses here. Subclinical is a biological thing lol.

I'm curious who else gets Ritalin, dexamphetamine or other central stimulants though.

Interesting post - it has been discussed here before here about whether ADHD or something similar is abundent in the top guys. The pendantic (OCD type) lifestyle needed to follow every rule for eating, sleeping, training etc etc. and that's without the weeks spent on mountain tops away from family and friends. Vingegaard's problems are well known, but nothing about Pogacar (unless you know different?!).

TUE's for all manner of stimulants (immediate and extended release forms) are WADA allowed so, like the recent past, when every man and his dog suddenly got asthma, we might see a sudden increase in "neurodiversity".

If you read interviews about Remco as a child and young soccer player you will notice that his behaviour is consistent. He is much more mature now but his drive and energy are the same as well as his manners in the heat of the day or the joy of the moment, albeit much more controlled now. If he takes ritalin during his pro years, the effects are not special at all.

What he do suffer from and it's not a lie at all is pollen allergy. He was cleaning his nose often during the olympic race. I am not sure if he takes anything atm but the net effect of the allergy on his racing is negative, not positive.

The nose clearing is extremely over the top with Pogacar especially, practically every time he attacks he’s got his thumb on his nose 5 separate times. I haven’t noticed it as much with Remco so far at least. It’s hard to imagine that’s just from pollen, there has to be something more to it, even if the substance causing it is legal.

It can in fact be just from pollen. An acquaintance of mine does the same thing every 2–3 minutes when riding his bike during spring.

During the Tour Cassani (ex-cyclist and italian commentator) said that even if he doesn't have any evidence of it, he is 100% sure Pogacar must have a notebook hidden somewhere where he keeps track of all the records he wants to break and all the names of the cyclists that beat him.
Giulio Ciccone said he played a game of squash with him against Urska and their procurator Alex Carera in the offseason and Pogi was laser focused on the win exactly like he is on the bike.

Pogacars quirky/funny persona may seem like a PR move to attract fans but on youtube you can find videos of him before joining UAE and even when he was a kid and he didn't change much. Him mother also confirmed he was an hyperactive child. So yeah, ADHD or something similar doesn't seem too far fetched for him too.
That photo of him and Remco sharing candies after a tdf stage is pretty emblematic.
