He was just at the bottom of the screen, in 11th as the sprint was starting and looked completely boxed in. But the right side opened up went the Picnic rider accelerated and suddenly he had clear sailing.

Solid win by Kooij after a hard day of racing. Average pace 48 km/h, some tailwind.

He was a long way back but got lucky on the right hand side. Visma worked hard and it was a clear win in the end. Fast and furious again so that broccoli juice does wonders!

Great to see Arvid de Kleijn in 4th after being sidelined for almost half a year following his horrible crash in the UAE Tour.
