What's the story with that tower with the animal figures?

(Has this race on mute, while Scandinavia is nearing its finish.)

I fail to understand why Jayco don't have a rider in the break, especially seeing Durbridge lost his top 10 GC after being caught behind the crash with 6kms to go.

So the parcours is known months in advance, and now suddenly they refuse to race because they think it's too narrow?

More evidence, riders will refuse to race at any opportunity

They are actually racing it properly, meaning the peloton ahs split in multiple pieces so the final wouldn't even have been dangerous, well rain, is coming so it will still be sketchy but

That 6km GC point is turning out to be so stupid lmao. Actually a good stage.

Mohoric with all or nothing basically only 10km left for GC, 16km for stage.

So Mohoric says this strike was somewhat planned, they knew the parcours in advance but they needed to make a statement as a peloton. Riders felt bad for the organization cause it wasn't personally against them and not fair to them at all, but they hope the UCI finally starts listening now to make more rules what can in a parcours and what can't.

Which riders do you expect tracking all stages of the Renewi Tour minutely, months in advance?

I expect the teams to have taken enough of a look at the roadbook to know what the final 5k of a stage look like before they actually race it. Plenty of staff on a WT side.

That being said, if the race organisers had any common sense, the situation would never have arisen to begin with.

Nah but honestly, guy is just accelerating from the front like a maniac trying to split things up multiple times. You're not gonna win like that with Trentin and Mohoric in the wheel, and you can see Phillipsen has a gap behind.

I get that he might be a bit disappointed and wants to do well for himself, but thats not how to do it.

So it was just a tantrum.

How is the UCI supposed to listen when riders never raise complaints beforehand

Brilliant idea to protest against rider concerns not being taken into account by deliberately not raising rider concerns in advance. That is as backwards as it gets.

Well obviously I assume they normally do raise complaints beforehand if they felt the need to make a statement by doing this. I don't know, Mohoric said they it wasn't fair to the organizers, but they had to do something cause the UCI never listens. Just complaining doesn't work, or atleast that's the feeling they have. They want more strict rules.

I also wouldn't say it's the riders' job to make sure a parcours is safe.
