Heh. Your graph clears up so many things.

The data behind the graph is in a .csv on the site if you're interested in more than just the 25 biggest CQ points swings. It's all the top 200 riders on CQ ranking and their relative changes in WT and CQ rank/points. If you know you're way around Excel there is plenty to see, quite relevant to this particular thread topic.

Another fast riser, or "revelation" in the parlance in this thread, is Zdenek Stybar. It's especially apparent in World Tour points improvement between last year and this year, since his successes in 2013 were at the highest level: top 10 in a Monument, a stage victory in the Vuelta and a totally dominant Eneco Tour.

Another rider who really impressed me this season was Jon Izagirre, now headed to Movistar. His versatility was surprising: we knew he could climb, but he did a beast time trial in the Tour de Pologne on the way second place in GC in that race, and took a top 10 (with a fast finish) in a one-day race, the GP Montreal. He's still only 24, so it looks like the rich get richer at Movistar.

He also gained 2nd at Spain's nats in the RR.
