Carter Jones will do well, I hope.

Not yet as a revelation, but I hope Fábio Silvestre gets some chances and results.
At this point I hope he gets a contract as he had a really bad season. Does he have a team for next year? Or did he had a 2 year contract as neo pro?

Yes he has a two year contract so we will see him again next year. I don't know if we can call his season bad, he has been anonymous, but then again a lot of neo pros are in their first year. But without doubt he has had the lowest profile of all Trek's neo-pros (Stuyven had some great results, Alafaci has been strong and very consistent, Watson did not have any results but did a lot of big stage races). What can give us hope is that he was anonymous his first year with Leopard as well, and then the second he exploded.

But in order to get results one has to race... Trek underused him, and when they did use him, they had him chase breakaways and drive the peloton early so that he was never around to contest a finish. This is all part of the learning experience, and Silvestre has a good engine for these things. But it seems like a waste when you look at his results from last season, where he was able to get good results in virtually every race he entered, including tough ones like Volta a Portugal.

This year he has only had 65 race days... same amount as last year, on Continental level! But Trek is odd like that, some riders have been really overused, others underused. In some ways the team seems missmanaged - they've come a long way since the last years and they've more or less pulled their sht together, now they need to figure out how to get the most out of their riders. Jungels, Stuyven, Van Poppel and Zoidl are all exciting prospects, I hope they are not wasted on Trek.

As for Silvestre, his most noteworthy results were 8th in a stage in Vuelta a Andalucía and 6th in a stage in Österreich Rundfahrt. Those are the only times I remember he was allowed to ride for himself. In Andalucía he was in a breakaway but got called back to contest the final sprint - another questionable call. On the team website they said he was not confident enough yet to really mix it up in a final sprint, and therefore had a hard time getting results.

Parrulo, BigMac or trevim, did you come across any interview with him in portuguese media? I would be interested to hear how he sees this season!

On his facebook, he says:

Mais uma época que chega ao fim. Uma época dura, com muito treino e trabalho. Consegui sempre fazer tudo o que me pediam, trabalhar em prol da equipa. Estou feliz por acabar assim a minha época.

("Another season comes to an end. A hard season, with a lot of training and work. I was always able to do everything they asked me to, work for the team. I am happy to finish my season like this")

When I call it a bad season I'm thinking about the fact that Alafaci could finish a GT and did a good ride in San Sebastian, Stuyven with solid results, Jungels being quite awesome...all despite Silvestre being slightly older. I hope he gets some shots next season, maybe in some 1.1 races.

No, I haven't anything with Silvestre in the typical portuguese media, sorry.

I think it's finally time to shine for Ruben Fernandez.

From neo-pro's: Ewan, Cort, Teuns, Vervaeke & Benoot

Time to step forward and win something big: Senechal, Chaves, Meintjes

I wouldn't consider Cort to be Someone who'll be revealed in the 2015 season to be he already has been revealed.

Sam Bennet to notch up a few more high profile wins. Had some nice wins this year as a neo and next season i expect he will step up another level. Bora have built a pretty strong lead out train for him next year. They have a serious amount of confidence in him.

Hopefully he gets to ride a GT as a leader as well. The TDF is the best option for Bora as a team, but he will be massively outgunned there so it would be great if he could ride the Giro or Vuelta as he could get a top 3 at a stage there.

In 2014 we had Tim Wellens, Fabio Aru, Arredondo,.......

Who will be the revelations in 2015?

First one:

Caleb Ewan

Stefan Küng could do very well next year, he will be a neo pro for BMC Racing Team but has incredible strenght. He reminds me a lot about Cancellara. I was lucky enough to interview him two days ago: http://www.cyclingupdates.com/interview-stefan-kung/

That's a really cool interview. Awesome to realize, or be reminded, that long before a guy every notches a top-tier win they've put in tons of time racing in juniors and U23.

Ewan wins three times in a row. Impressive! What can we expect of him this season?

Keep in my his competition right now...IMO he'll manage to get some stage wins here and there, but I don't think it'll be in any of the bigger races with the harder competition.

Katarzyna Niewiadoma. 11th in the Giro as a 19-year-old neo-pro and the last rider to be dropped by Emma Pooley in the queen stage. She will be big.
So true, also 11th in the worlds as the only polish rider. Looked good, but the "sprint" was bad. Not sure about this year, but at Rio 2016 she will be more than a darkhorse :)

Hear, hear !! I'm even more of a hardnosed realist and I think he'll definitely be struggling for any wins this year outside of these early season crits. The evidence of his rides at Comm Games, Ride London and most Beijing sprints was that he was a long way off having the strength or the legs to compete against the big boys and probably even the better 2nd tier sprinters.

If OGE are sensible, they'll keep him clear of most WT events and send him to the non WT races like Turkey, Cali and maybe the later season North American races where he'll come up against SOME top sprinters but nowhere near top fields. It frankly would not surprise to see a few HDs on his card; any results (podium finishes) in any races outside AUS will be bonuses.

I definitely agree with this. Herald Sun Tour, Langkawi, perhaps Qatar etc.
