KoM at the Vuelta is really not that big of a deal. It would be a waste of talent for him to make this his primary goal. He's not Omar Fraile, Davide Villella or Geoffrey Bouchard.

Bravo Richard! And poor Simon: I hope that Yates wins tomorrow, I knew that he would be up to something on this stage, I was not a bit surprised. Richard would not be denied today! Big win! Bravo Richard!

Carapaz sucked in that TT (PdBF) when he was expected to do well because of the climb. I never heard an explanation of what happened for him—end of Tour exhaustion, poor pacing, sickness? Or just jour sans?

He previoulsy won the KoM at the Vuelta because he struggled in the first week and was off GC.

Two more mountain stages for Richie. He seems to be ready to attack and fight for podium or even more.

I honestly thought he was kind of done as GC rider, but for now he has proven me wrong, and I'm happy about that. I just like that guy and his racing.
