Problem was the bike he eventually got on was Kiryienka's and that was far too big for him.

Maybe I should give him the benefit of the doubt, but we need to see aggression, a fight back etc. Gaps are growing and the clock is ticking.

Well there hasn't been any opportunity for a fight back yet, has there?

Plenty.
Racing isn't limited to uphill sprints......

First they were not with their leader when wheelgate happened
And today ...some just kept riding , one around crash on the grass and off (not with Viviani who was at front so why is a mystery)
Others just milling around and not even bothering to ride hard to the line with Porte
Where is the leadership ???

He is simply not made to podium any GT. He just doesn't have what it takes, maybe in the lab he can even win one but not on the road.
No, cycling genius Brailsford.JRanton said:HelloDolly said:SKY are a disaster in this Giro

Eisel....
BigMac said:Sky almost as tactically clueless as Lampre. Frightfully similar, in fact. No respect for team hierarchy, total negligence over their leader, everybody riding for themselves like true bounty hunters. 't leaves you baffled.

PORTE = defeated, whining, NON-STOP COMPLAINING.
CONTADOR = always fights back. NO COMPLAINTS.
Did anyone else see how he jumped up from the ground as soon as he crashed? Did anyone see how one of his teammates (don't know who he was) zigzagged his way through all the casualties just to dash towards Alberto and lend him his bike? Took me three replays to perceive it, but it was an awesome move. No needs to ask for help to other teams.
Cheers for that, my friend. Experience goes a long way indeed.Tossatto... Over 30 GTs under the belt....
What? His team *** up multiple times and he's been very unlucky. Porte is pretty much faultless.Rollthedice said:If it wasn't for all the hype, the motorhome, the fantastic numbers he puts out in training, the fact that journos have to wash their hands to visit the RV, the marginal gains BS, the swimming, the fact that Sky did everything first and other teams just followed, the dominant wins in little races which apparently warrant a great GT champion I would have a little sympathy for Porte.

I’m not doing any pedaling,” Porte said. “My knee’s f—ked.”
