Since the Dutch are working, I'm fully expecting the first Dutch finisher to finish 29th

Actually its not even that bad for the germans if the pace isnt extremely low. I doubt that Greipel can win anyway and I think on the finish line Degenkolb also isnt as strong as Kristoff (who is still a better climber than Greipel) so they have to drop him or have to make sure that he at least doesnt have an easy ride.

It's amazing that I have to watch ES coverage of the WC RR, considering that I live in the US!

I know. The UCI feed is complete rubbish. Unwatchable.

I've been watching the Richmond site feed for 2 hours without issue!
It's on! I tried this feed earlier in the week and it was blocked to US users.

Thanks Carol! :)

:)

55 minutes and it's on TV!

They've been trying to disrupt the high pace so far so my guess is that they want a very slow pace.
Why doesn't Italy send 1 guy to help. And. Belgium?

I really hope other team pick up the pace as well. We need to reduce the chances of a sprint.

Why don't they show graphics of rider positions at the finish (and at intermediate checks) this year? Is always a handy tool.

Yes, it looks like they've hampered the pace a bit.
Belgium and Italy nowhere to be seen.
Although Italy seems a little bit closer to the front and more compact.

Cassani said they will do nothing until two laps to go, seems like they stick to the plan.

I've seen more building roof tops than cyclists the last couple of days..

Good to see the Dutch leading the pack, but just driving at a steady pace isn't really helpful.

Belgians are showing themselves on the cobbles.
An exercise with 100 miles to go, I'd say.

............in my opinion UCI should do more to promote womens cycling.....major change should

........today valverde for the win ................?

It's all very nice to try to promote women's cycling by making it the same length but, whilst of course I think women need more equality in cycling, they are simply not as physically capable as the men. There's no ways women would be able to competitively race over 240km

Wow. This is absolute hogwash. While there are areas in which women are less capable than men, endurance isn't one of them. Because they don't race that long doesn't mean they aren't capable of it.

The feed is O.K., but the production at the spot is, to be polite, weak.
Or you were ironic?
