After all the warnings of storms and showers it's now looking like it's going to be disappointingly dry today

I don't know what you were expecting on this course, really. It really favours not doing zilch until the last 4 km of the last lap. With that in mind, the race we saw yesterday was about as good as could be reasonably expected, and I doubt today's race will be any better.

It feels like Amstel Gold at the moment, functionally impossible to get a winning gap before the final climb, but brutally hard for the people sitting in the peloton.

Despite that, the break really should have made it yesterday.

Yup, never been this unexcited before a WCRR since I started following the sport closely.
