Presumably that will mean Roglic to T-A to also avoid his French stage race crash curse.
I don't think so. Van Aert seems all in for the classics so I don't think he'll chase GC in PN. Roglic for PN, Vingegaard and Dumoulin for TA is my guess.

It would be good if Martin rides one GT per year which is his season's focus - He spreads himself to thin with race days - He was even riding the Pozzato Italian races in Mid-October.

He crashed in Tirreno as well if I remember correctly. Just before his winning streak started.

That just makes the plan all the more obvious!

Anyway, I wonder if - with the shifted schedule - any riders will be doing both AGR and P-R, or whether the guys doing AGR will just stay in the area and do some training to avoid having to travel back and forth. It seems like it's not that unusual for riders to do both races, and of course last year you could win AGR, go to the Tour and win a few stages there, win an Olympic medal, win a World Championship medal, and then get a top-10 in P-R, but even in normal years it's not that much of a problem.

Well, PCS have the following riders listed, but I'd say it's too early to know whether that'll actually turn out to be true.

I remember an interview with him where he said he just loves to race and would rather be racing than training. He's got the current record number of finishes without DNF.

I agree I'd like to see him ride a more sensible programme. The best I've seen him is right after the 2020 hiatus when he came in as fresh as everyone else and looked a real GT podium contender.

Roglic and Bernal are riding Paris-Nice.
Seems that the field this year will be stronger than last year. I remember last year only Roglic as top dog participated.
Pogacar, Bernal, van Aert, Alaphilippe and van der Poel all had been in Italy.

Historically PN has always been by far the strongest and most prestigious Spring stage race but aided by the pull of Strade Bianchi TA is catching up fast.

And after TA there is MSR...

So if you are a rider that can ride well in both SB and MSR it makes more sense to ride TA than going to France and then back again.

Well the argument with MSR is like Netserk said not that big. But with SB it is.
Last year there was also the peculiarity that the Giro had a stage like Strade Bianche in the programme, so a lot of GC riders from the giro participated at SB to prepare for the giro.

Tirreno has had a better starting field than PN since forever.

Yeah, going back 12 years (14 if you count Scarponi which also bridges to Cancellara), every winner has won a GT or a monument. And almost all more than one. PN winners have been super weak in comparison.
