Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana (3-7 febrero), Tirreno-Adriático (9-15 marzo), Vuelta al País Vasco (4-9 abril), Giro del Trentino (19-22 abril), ¿Lieja-Bastoña-Lieja? (24 abril), y Giro de Italia (6-29 mayo).

Liege? That's interesting.. but why?

Kwiatkowski must be a little pissed.

So typical Sky long-time peak with focusses on T-A, PV & the Giro like predicted.

He'll win two or three of those and podium a few others knowing how Sky works. Also according to PCS this is Sky's planned Liege team:

Kwaitkowski, Golas, Kennaugh, Nordhaug, Roche, Kiriyenka, Henao, Landa

Strong support for Kwaitkowski.

That's a brutal team. A huge upgrade from last year. But I still don't get what Landa's role will be like.

Accordingly Thomas and Froome may be brought in for Liege. In fact, if Thomas is given a free role there I make him my favorite. I doubt with such talent Sky will go 100% behind Kw. It's a bit risky. Thomas has the perfect profile to break away from a group of 15 riders in the last 10km with the likes of Kw. Henao nd Nordhaug controlling behind.

Any idea what Kiryenka is gonna do as rand tour next year? PCS announce him on the Giro team but surely the Tour s teammate is the best ay to prepare for olympic TT, followed by Vuelta and Worlds. Maybe Braislford thinks he can beat Froome in Olympic TT...

Rabbit/back up plan would be my guess.

I think they are sending him to the Giro because there are three TT's and he can win them all. Even the mountain TT.

Yeah maybe. With the teams for the early WT races almost given, we only need to find out who they are going to send to Catalunya.

Yeah, I totally forgot about him being there too. This time around Landa ain't gonna wait for Aru so there might be some good racing on the table.
Any seconds Landa might gain uphill (I doubt it) he'll lose in the 20km ITT.

Have you seen the TT? It's brutal. Even harder than the one in 2015. Five kilometers averaging 9.62% and four kilometres at 10.8%. The rest is almost entirely downhill. And Landa won a mountain time trial very recently.

http://www.cyclingquotes.com/news/landa_wins_mountains_time_trial/

It's going to be tight between Contador, Landa, Aru and Quintana. All four can win it.

Wow, just wow! It's gonna be just like Horner said: The best riders aim for Basque Country! Well except Nibali.
I'm eager now already!

Yes, I've seen it. He may not lose time in the uphill km, he however will lose time in the other kms. It would be a miracle if Landa beats Contador in a hilly TT.

Edit: just clicked that link. Wow, Landa won a MTT against Txurukka and Irizar, impressive :)

Yeah Bertie has the TT sorted. Idk about the rest. Contador is a beast in hilly TTs, the more mountainous the better. I think we are assuming that Landa will be at 2015 Giro level and Bertie at 2015 Giro level, but that Landa we have only seen once: we need confirmation.

I would opt for the Vuelta. It's a heavy schedule for Fernandez, i'd rather see him taking a pause after Liege in order to arrive fresh for the Vuelta. In this years Vuelta we all have seen where that could lead to ( Chaves, Dumoulin)

My thoughts exactly. Contador will beat Landa comfortably in that TT. It's going to be between Contador and Purito, and maybe Quintana. Aru and Landa doesn't stand a chance in that race, against those guys!

Cancellara or Kriyienka for first Maglia Rosa?
Neither, Malori will win it. But between these two, it has to be Cancellara, since it's only about 10k. But in a long time trial, Kriyienka beats Cancellara 9 out of 10 times these days.

He has to be mega-favorite for the Chianti stage unless Martin shows up.

Purito? With a time trial? Then Aru, Landa and Quintana are better bets. But I'd that Contador is going to be hard to defeat if he is at his best.

Purito 2015 aia TT, may provide some surprise for you if you think purito is unable in hilly TTs. He's better than Landa in flat ones anyway.

Haven't you watched this years edition? He beated Quintana by over half a minute! You tend to underestimate Purito when it comes to a hard, technical and hilly TT.

I also think Purito will be the biggest rival for Contador in PV.

Aren't you just saying that because you like these three riders and not Landa?

After having won TA from with far-out attack, Landa is going to destroy them all in PV. He will defeat Contador in the mountains and get 2nd behind Alberto in the TT.
