Not that strange. He had already said earlier he'd probably go for PN instead of TA. So the only guess was Algarve or Andalucia. 50/50.

Dauphine is given, Paris-Nice is likely but they have to face each other before that. Maybe as early as Algarve?

I don't he'll do the Algarve this will probably be how Sky divvies up Feb:

Meh, I'd rather see Bora at the Tour once again and UHC have been pretty bad, I wouldn't mind CCC, Jan Hirt in the Giro would be fun, de la Parte could also be fun and they also signed Ponzi.
It sucks for the Italian teams, but if I had to pick one team to miss the Giro I'd probably pick Nippo.

The original article said it certainly wasnt certain that all italian PCT would get an invite, but it was also not excluded that they wouldnt. I still hope all 4 Italian PCT get one, if not Nippo can miss out and CCC or Caja hopefully gets the last invite.
