So far it has been stated as a cold, bronchitis and now the flu. I will just take their word that he has been ill ! Obviously no doctors doing PR.

He said he got a cold, but is really a light bronchitis that he has previous Giro, but when you start to take antibiotics you need usally 2 weeks taking them, and that afect your strength, and although he stoppes last friday and he was with the best on saturday, you need the rest day to recover.

I hope today crash is nothing, although crash are always a problem and he broke his helmet, so it was hard.

For tomorrow he has enoght team to place him well, it would be important for the last climb. The stage have several important climbs, There will be no more than 50 riders before the last climb, and will be differences.

Yes he is not having much luck but it's often the way with the GC riders. Some sail through the race without any problems and others have one problem after another. Sickness is the one thing they would fear the most as the race is hard enough and recovery is everything. Falls are a lottery and just part of the sport.

He looked good today! He got some seconds on Aru....and the ITT coming....podium is within reach!

So last year I think he got almost 3 minutes on Aru on the ITT, and this one is longer. Only thing to see is how much Aru has improved in the ITT...but not sure if he can beat Uran in the ITT.

Podium always was there, but he is here to win. With so poor team and that time losed, and the other strong teams will be difficult, but is still an option.

He need of course Astana and SKY attack Saxo, other way is no possible. If those teams play just to be podium only with Aru and Porte, and no Koning or Landa, for Rigo there is no possibility, but at least O hope he could be the strongest of the Giro from now on, taking time in the ITT and taking at least some days time in the mountains.

The way I see it he's the one with the most chances of getting second in the overall. Beating Contador is a whole different story though. He needs to be 100% to put time into Contador in the ITT. Both could be in the top3 on Saturday.

Right now I think Contador will smash this TT. He is getting stronger and stronger.

Uran finally seems to be ok,just in time for the ITT :)
He's been very inconsistent in this race, I wonder if it's him or a team issue?
He was sick the first week. At least according to his team.

He seems to be getting stronger, so maybe it was true that he was sick.

oh man...i hope Uran is super motivated tomorrow...I think he can put 2+ mins on aru....he could be in 2nd place tomorrow. The question is can he get back lots of time on Contandor? Specially after Contador suffering a second fall.

Luck is with him again. I think he was the man in the middle of the crash that managed to go ahead, so good skills for him.

Tomorrow starts a new Giro, he can go for the pink.

I repeat, Uran will put 2+ min on Contador tomorrow. Game Over!

I think is possible, Contador always is better in the first split in 40 km or so ITT, so in 60 will be too hard for him.

But with just 2 minutes Contador will be still the main favourite, althogh we have race.

If Contador lose 1.30 with Uran,it is not bad as well, becouse he had the lider and he must counter attack to Aru the first.

I am dreaming with 3 minutes if he is as last year in Giro and Vuelta or even better, but that is dream too much, Contador is good in ITT and the ITT has some climbs that suits him very well.

This year Rigo did better in Romandie in the mountains that last year, but worse in the ITT....althoug it was raining, and I guess he didnt take risk or maybe he had already the bonchitis that day.

The only thing I know is that quintana start las year Giro sick and later he won clearly (although with the Stelvio gate), so everything is possible.

Uran doesn't have the form that he had last year. He won't put two minutes into AC, end of story. :)

Tomorrow is Uran chance to show his true value.Let's see what he can do.But i got to say i was impressed by Contador and Aru,they are really strong this Giro,i wouldn't blame Uran if he'll not manage those big gaps that people are expecting.

You so don't like Contador to win do you. I started up not liking him in 2007. It was impossible for me to like him because he won his 2 first GTs without being the strongest in the field. Bu then Karma came along and stripped two titles (exactly one Giro and one Tour). All in all he has got all the trophies he deserves and he remains a great champion.
Buuut no matter how minutes Rigo takes this Giro won't be decided in a TT and no matter how stars align he remains the great favorite. I want the other riders to put him into difficulty so bad, but I want the strongest rider to win in the end.

I want the strongest rider to win at the end as well, for me is always like that.
For me is not good today Contador losing time without any blame, or the other day Porte or Uran for an illness, but if Aru win wont be just luck.

From now on there is a long ITT and enough mountain to show who is the best.

at least his podium is alive. He is quietly moving toward the podium while people are busy talking about porte losing minutes, contador lost the pink jersey and Aru struggling in the last back to back rainy medium mountain stage. After ITT tomorrow he might be closer to the podium.

   you and Taxus are a perfect match, even your nicknames are similar. Pathetic.

I think Uran is too bruised to win, he could barely walk yesterday, I doubt he can win the TT but I am not discounting him either
