UAE lineup announced, no Wellens the big omission but should be enough. Apologies if any translation issues;

Speaking to CyclingNews on Monday, General Manager Gianetti provided us with his thoughts on the lineup ahead of this Sunday's cobbled monument; 'Tim is preparing for Roubaix where he will co-lead with with Tadej and we thought it better to give him a rest. Unfortunately Jhonny was sick mid-week and hasn't yet recovered sufficiently to be a factor in a race of this magnitude. Juan is in good condition coming out of Catalunya and will provide valuable help to Pogi in either a defensive or more aggressive role depending on how the race plays out. Tadej has recovered well from San-Remo and we expect him to play a major role in the finale;

Is it possible to have someone at their limit at the bottom of Paterberg? If Mathieu sits in the wheel from Kwaremont, I would expect him to have proper legs again after the descent and just sitting in the wheel.
There have been instances of a rider hanging on until 2/3 of the way up the final Paterberg, then losing contact, getting gapped and never coming back. One the years Cancellara beat a quality Sagan was like that. But it helps if the one who gets the gap at the top is a good rouleur to carry it home.

"Only one way to get rid of Peter Sagan and that's literally to kill him"

I'd like to think that's the exact moment where the pandemic misuse of the word 'literally' started.

I think he's the stronger one. Pogacar will force on the Kwaremont but Mathieu will hold, and on the Paterberg he will drop the bomb and go into the sunset.
Don't think Paterberg is long enough to drop someone like Pogacar, unless Pogi tries so hard and runs into a counter. But normally Pogacar is able to sprint from the bottom to the top.

For all bike racing fans I see only an upward trajectory about Pogacar and his God like abilities!!
It's as if nobody ever expects him to crash out.. Sure he crashes but since it's Pogacar, bizarre assumption that he always gets back up.
.and Pog and UAE have quality team, but fans and media are absolutely positive about Pogacar ,it's talked about and just assumed that he doesn't have bad days!! Legs are great as a guarantee!!
Personally I think it's great that people refer to him almost always as unbeatable!! I have only been in a beer filled room with people wearing Tom Brady everything, people who don't lose hope ever !!that Tom Terrific will lead his team to victory.. Pogacar fills people with that same level of hope and confidence in his ability
