Quickstep hold the key to the race I think. They have so many near-favourites the other teams can't stop one or more of them going up the road in the pre-finale. If, say, Sénéchal is in a front group before the final two climbs, he may well survive and get over the top with a very select group. He can then choose not to work with the favourites because a teammate is behind, and then profit from hesitation or favourites marking each other in the final kms.

Having a clear favourite or not, whatever their lineup is, the Steppers play the numbers game.

Yeah, I put a few dollars on almost every Stepper, in a situation where MvdP and WvA look at each other and play the child's game, they could very easily profit. On the other hand I' d like MvdP to take the win.

I also expect Dylan van Baarle to have a good race.

Kind of weird hearing that crash so clearly.

Danish reporter on the - eerily empty - Kwaremont: "Normally it's filled with frites, and beer, and Belgians filled with both."
