They are going to come back, and Alpecin will have lost a couple of riders for the last 50-100km's. This isn't game over for that group, otherwise Alpecin would have dropped every rider they have from the front.
The outcome could have been so much different if teams actually committed, namely the two big ones.

They will come back. Not like the peloton is going to go full gass for 250km.

Alpecins ruining their team tho.
You don't need to go full gas for 250km. You only need to go as long as it takes to kill the group behind. You have a bigger group with stronger guys. It is not rocket science

Good for the race that they're coming back. Otherwise we could've had just another Pogacar solo win.

I have never ridden Flanders, so I cannot judge with full confidence, but it seems to me that JV and UAE could have eliminated MvdP fairly easily but riding at the pace of the second group for about 50-60 km and at that point the second group would have been empty.
Completely unrelated; How hard could it be for Kirby to say Biniam instead of Biniamin...
