Well I'm already one of the top 20 mountainbikers in the world. And most average MTB-ers make good climbers on the road.

Wow impressive. Though that was 7 years ago. You quit or something?

in 18 years only 1 guy was ever caught on something clinicwise(giunti) in his team so I say he's one of the cleanest directors out there.

I want to see hrothas responce to this.

I think that Rujano will show something in this Giro and some ppl will STFU :D:D

Hey BTW I found this pretty AMAZING article in VeloNews... Its called "A day in the life of the Giro’s poorest team with the biggest dream"

Really liked the photo where they explain that "Coach Marco Bellini has a short talk with Jose Rujano before the stage — reminding him to take it easy on the stage" hahahahaha...

it's the most likeable team with the most likeable manager. the team has very low budget yet manages to have the most incredible results because savio understands many of these guys. rujano is hilarious. many stories about how managers went crazy with him because he would never listen and just attack whenever he felt like it _O_ this giro however he seems very cool. the guy is on a mission

I actually believe he can podium, but only if he gets his form and health support from 6 years ago. Otherwise, no chance.

you should know unlike most others that in vuelta colombia 2009 he was way stronger than giro 2005. still I think he could be even better than 2009, then he was 27 the guy still hasn't reached full physical and especially mental potential

He's not facing Savoldelli or Simoni now. He's facing Contador, Menchov, Michele Scarponi, Igor Anton and Vincenzo Nibali.

Except Menchov and Scarponi they're all younger than him and have shown more.

I really hope we see some Rujano fireworks in this Giro, I hope he can get to the first mountain stages without losing time first. Today could be a problem.

Call me crazy but I don't think the field of the 2009 Vuelta a Colombia compares.

that's not the point. if you don't know what he did there and how he rode there it's no use trying to understand it. that's why I said it to escarabajo who I think knows how he rode there.

he was completely out of shape there and still:

1 Franco Pellizotti (Ita) Liquigas 40.26 (19.142 km/h)
2 Emanuele Sella (Ita) CSF Group Navigare 0.06
3 Gilberto Simoni (Ita) Serramenti PVC Diquigiovanni-Androni Giocattoli 0.17
4 Alberto Contador Velasco (Spa) Astana 0.22
5 Riccardo Riccò (Ita) Saunier Duval - Scott 0.30
6 José Rujano Guillen (Ven) Caisse d'Epargne 0.49
7 Marzio Bruseghin (Ita) Lampre 1.04
8 Domenico Pozzovivo (Ita) CSF Group Navigare 1.43
9 Danilo Di Luca (Ita) LPR Brakes 1.45
10 Denis Menchov (Rus) Rabobank 1.49

everyone in front of him was/is clinic material. the guy is an incredible piece of talent even out of shape a mountain itt is his true specialty. I can't imagine what he will do in this years giro mountain itt, he will throw with minutes

I'll bet you a Ricco avatar he doesn't place top 3 in the mountain ITT, let alone win by minutes

Napolitano could emulate Pantani if he rode against me and my friends.

GTs last 3 weeks. Besides, it's not like Contador was in his best shape. I can show you mountain stages where he lost massive amounts of time.

Yeah, he'll throw with minutes. Doubt it.
