I expected that one, but if I had to pick GC favourites who will flounder on the roads of Denmark, he's one of the first on my list.

I'm not denieing that that has a chance of happening but his real weakness and imo only weakness will be the weather. if it's good weather he won't have any trouble following anywhere. he is vulnerable to rain and cold of course.

you haven't watched this week's settimana then.even savoldelli agreed rujano kind of became a strong rouleur.man, he attacked them in headwind on the flat,amazing power in those legs.
but anything can happen, i agree.i hope though the weather will not be cold and rainy, that's why i always said giro is by far the worst suited grand tour to rujano.

No, I'm saying he'll be glad there's not much sterrato in the Giro as he had a tragic crash there. Slagter is a promising cyclist you know

the guy has incredible recuperation and engine already proven at age 23 in his first giro. combine that with his incredible watt tests. yes I think he's the greatest cycling talent since pantani.

If he wins the Giro that would be great for him. However he would never win the TDF like Pantani did ( not when he can't drop Contador ).

Contador might have been as good as that at 23 but had just suffered from a blood clot.
