Entire Visma team behind, loads of Q36.5 and UAE, group of about 35 up ahead
'Nah lets just not ride'
'Nah lets just not ride'
Depends on how much time they'll have at the finish, but I would expect that on the last hill of stage 5 if the likes of Pidcock, Wellens, Vlasov go all out, they gain some time on these two.Did they just throw away the GC here? What a weird move to just give 2 strong riders that gap
UAE seem a bit bothered. They've spent Cosnefroy and Sivakov has been working for most of the climb. They just don't have enough guys. Visma and Q36.5 are also lacking a bit in domestiques.2/3rds of the rest is downhill, and they are against Ivan Romeo, the medium mountain plateau specialist.
The problem was they can only go as fast as Laporte can climb, and UAE don't seem to be too bothered about this.

I got the impression they were saving guys, only riding at the pace of their 4th rider, which would be fair with a normal route but the gap seems to be terminal with the tepid stages to come.UAE seem a bit bothered.
