The climb suits Valverde and he is in better shape. I think he is the favorite.

Noticed how you like to downplay AC.
If AC is better, he will drop Valverde. In the last years. he has been better on exactly these kind of climbs.

If its raining the peloton usually needs 4 minutes on Wellens.

Valverde will always win if Contador hasn't dropped him by that point anyways.

Contador is one of the absolute best at above threshold efforts on steep climbs.
